Album #3; Benches and Trees
Album Number 3 marks a significant return to the americana sound that characterized my debut album. This time, the music leans more heavily on the piano, offering a richer, more textured experience. You'll still hear plenty of those earthy, wooden guitar picks and a strong, defined back beat. As a nod to my earlier days, I've included a touch of my old saxophone, adding a familiar yet refreshed element to the sound.
This album naturally follows the previous two in the series, hence the number three. Yet, many of the songs featured here have roots that stretch back as far as two decades, predating the earlier albums. Listening to these tracks brings forth a flood of memories, options, opinions, and insights into what once was. Despite their history, these songs are also entirely new—making their debut to the world and to you. This blend of the past and the present results in a unique convergence, a musical "collision" that creates something distinct as it drifts through the metaphorical branches above.
The title “Benches and Trees” is an invitation to pause and I hope you do.
Album #2; Assumed Idiocy
Album number 2!!! These things just kinda happen! The album ended up being a little more pissed off and much less acoustic. We think you'll find this album has an edge to it with more than a little venting wrapped in an alternative/blues rock edge. Our intent is to call them and those that know and won't help what they are. So expect an attitude... hopefully not more than you expect; if it does well... sorry; its been a life. Actually not really, not sorry at all. There is nothing for us to be sorry for. Of course we can't leave our past. And to that thought; as you walk down Cooper you'll pass beneath a train bridge. The rust runs down the walls and the color blends in and matches the grime of the sidewalk. Standing there look up and then down, and see if you can see. Hum some of these tunes. We hope you find these words and music entertaining. We believe that there are those who assume we are idiots for doing this, they are right. We are. And if you aren't an idiot for something in your life, well thats unfortunate. So, from all of us who are idiots for something; we invite you to share in the idiocy.

Album #1; Peabody Park
The first album! Hope you like it. This is a snappy, sometimes reflective, acoustic effort with a subtle hint of rumination and loss. Of course, there is a hint of hope and/or defiance sprinkled throughout. Always helps to tell the world to f-off every now and then. We hope you enjoy the tunes and the words as much as We enjoyed creating and assembling them. The inspiration for the album is the neighborhood park, Peabody Park. Peabody Park is an inner-city park near the arts districts in Memphis, TN. It has towering ancient oaks that have been at war with the sidewalks for decades. We hope the leaves and trees of Peabody Park find their way to your heart. As the rain puddles in the roots of the great willow oaks found here, may you find peace with whatever troubles you in your past. Remember it and them as they were, for we are just a song on the wind and what else do we ever have than to be a warm memory in someone’s life.

About
By day M-F, I work and do the work and family thing. But at night, holidays and weekends, I do the music thing in my music thing cave. I also sweep the place. I hope you like what you hear. These songs I have played, written, recorded and produced over the past several years. For me, the notes are the juice, the vibe is the ice and the words are the gin. This is my addiction. I drink this as often and as deeply as I can. Addictions require participation to be effective.
Audience
The hope is someone, a singer or a band who enjoys the performance part of the music biz, records one of these songs. They are copyrighted; BMI is my PRO. If you want to record one, contact me, LandR or BMI about the rights to stuff and off you go!!!
Performing
No, don’t and won’t. We’ll leave that to those who love a stage. We’d rather focus on what we hear in the wind than try to join the circus. A wolf that joins the circus and performs becomes a dog, so we’ll just stay a wolf and let the lions, tigers, bears and other magnificent & amazing performing animals do what they do best.
Special Requests
If you’d like me to craft a song for your specific style, band, performance or need, just drop me a line and we’ll see what we can work out. But just so you know how we work, we typically don’t collaborate; hope that works for you.
